In recent years, Sanmenxia has earnestly studied and implemented the important remarks made by General Secretary Xi Jingping on urban work. We have adhered to the principle that "new urban areas are built by the people and for the people", and focused on leveraging our own endowments advantages and industrial foundation to continuously cultivate new business forms and models to create new scenarios and highlights and accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system,so as to promote high-quality economic development of the city. From January to November 2024, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Sanmenxia reached 55.115 billion yuan, which increased 6.1%  year-on-year.

Focus on the flow economy, we aim to build an important node city on the Zhengzhou- Luoyang-Xi'an development belt. Relying on our unique geographical and transportation advantages, Sanmenxia takes industries as the foundation, further expands the total volume and enhances the level, and develops new forms of flow economy. We actively promote the construction of key projects such as the Sanmenxia Railway Comprehensive Hub Logistics Park, the Bonded Logistics Center (Type B) in the Urban-Rural Integration Demonstration Zone, and the Chen Songpo Green and Smart Agricultural Products Cold Chain Logistics Center in Hubin District. We also advance the renovation and upgrading of the Huangbei Sixth Street Block, Wang Guan Agricultural Products Market, and the Yellow River Golden Triangle Agricultural Products Wholesale and Trading Center. We intensify efforts to attract investment from the top 500 domestic and foreign enterprises and leading industry players, encouraging them to set up regional headquarters or functional headquarters such as marketing, procurement, finance and investment in Sanmenxia, so as to create new growth for the headquarters economy.

Focus on the sharing economy, we aim to build a sharing economy highland in the Yellow River Golden Triangle region. Centering on the clustering of production-oriented service industries and the upgrading of quality in life-oriented service industries, Sanmenxia takes the improvement of resource utilization as the main line, and strives to promote the joint construction and sharing of urban facilities,as well as the interconnection and integration of urban services，and the promotion and application of new models and new technologies. We also attract various associations to frequently hold consumer goods exhibitions, industry development forums and academic exchanges in Sanmenxia to create an exhibition economy. We actively cultivate intermediary, technological and financial service industries. We also develop medical alliances, internet hospitals and health medical big data, so as to promote medical care and elderly care integration, explore pilot projects for sharing communities with integration of medical treatment and elderly support, which promote community-based home care for the elderly to achieve simultaneous improvement in economic and social benefits.

    Focus on life services and create a new model of quality cities in the region. Based on the new urban lifestyle model and consumption trends, Sanmenxia aims to meet the people's aspiration for a better life, improve the traditional economic model, stimulate consumption potential and build a happy urban life circle. We vigorously explore traditional cuisines and local characteristic restaurants in Sanmenxia, create a unique food brand for Sanmenxia, launch a number of large-scale food plazas and characteristic food courts to shape the brand image of Sanmenxia's cuisine. Around various new consumption models and new business forms such as night markets, cultural and creative markets, micro-performances, and immersive night tours, we create diversified night consumption scenarios. At the same time, we create "Night Tour of the Dam", "Night Tour of the Yellow River Ecological Corridor" and other unique "value symbols" of Sanmenxia.
