On the evening of 22nd September, the Henan Traditional Folk Arts Troupe gave a spectacular performance at the Sanmenxia International Cultural and Arts Center Theater as part of the 2023 “Central Plains Cultural Stage” excellent opera tour.

That evening, the Sanmenxia International Cultural and Arts Center Theater was packed with enthusiastic audiences, creating a lively atmosphere. Renowned folk arts artists, including national first-class actors Fan Jun and Bai Junxuan, graced the stage. High-quality programs of different styles, genres and themes, including melody Praise Hometown, Henan zhuizi the Loyal and Heroic Yang, pipa and sanxian duet Spring in Jiangnan, kuaibanshu Model, Er’renzhuan Joyful Spin, Chinese opera medley Flowers in Pear Garden, crosstalk One Wonderful Minute, folk arts medley Hometown Henan, were performed in succession. The audience enjoyed a spectacular audiovisual feast.

The “Central Plains Cultural Stage” is a public benefit performance event organized by the Communication Department of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee. It aims to explore Henan’s rich cultural resources, preserve and promote Chinese opera, and allow the public to share the achievements of cultural development. According to the arrangement, from 22nd September to 23rd September, the Henan Traditional Folk Arts Troupe will present four wonderful performances for folk arts enthusiasts in Sanmenxia.
