In recent years, Sanmenxia Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government have attached great importance to vocational education, deeply studied and implemented the General Secretary Xi Jingping’s series of important instructions on vocational education, implemented various decisions ad arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee on accelerating the development of vocational education, adhered to the development of vocational education as an important part of the strategy of revitalizing the city through science and education and strengthening the city with talents, and vigorously improved the level of vocational education. We will accelerate the training of high-quality technical and skilled personnel to provide strong support for high-quality development.

Setting the major scientifically. Focusing on the national development strategies and market demands, Sanmenxia actively supports and guides the technical colleges to hold majors in advanced manufacturing, modern service industry, strategic emerging industries and so on to standardize the majors settings of technical colleges and universities and ensure professional quality.

Deepen teaching reforms. Sanmenxia breaks the traditional disciplinary teaching methods, comprehensively carries out the teaching reform of "engineering integration", which realizes "learning in work and working in study", all the work has been done to achieve a seamless connection between students’ skill level and job requirements and maximize the work requirements of employers.

Strengthen the cooperation between schools and enterprises. In combination with the industrial development and the actual situation of technical colleges, Sanmenxia formulated and issued the Notice on Promoting the Integration of Production and Education in Technical Colleges, and actively promoted the technical colleges in Sanmenxia to carry out the integration of production and education and school-enterprise cooperation. The technical colleges and universities in Sanmenxia have carried out school-enterprise cooperation with 40 large and medium-sized enterprises inside and outside the province, including Reisa Co., LTD., Rayer Longding Industrial, Haier Air conditioning and other large enterprises, involving 63 majors such as welding technology, mechanical and electrical engineering, electrical automation, and the annual training scale has reached more than 9,000 people.
