Recently, the reporter learned from the leading group of accelerating 5G network construction and industrial development in Sanmenxia that the city formulated and issued the "Sanmenxia 2024 to promote 5G scale Application Implementation Plan" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan") in order to thoroughly implement the digital transformation strategy, continuously expand the breadth and depth of 5G application and promote the 5G empowerment of thousands of industries.

The plan states that In terms of 5G infrastructure construction, more than 5,000 5G base stations will be built in Sanmenxia by the end of this year to achieve full coverage of 5G networks in townships and administrative villages, including key application scenarios such as industry, agriculture, medical care, education, and cultural tourism. In terms of key indicators of 5G application, the penetration rate of 5G individual users will reach 48%, the number of users will exceed 1.1 million, the 5G application penetration rate of large industrial enterprises will reach 45%, and the 5G traffic and 5G connection scale will continue to increase. As for 5G integration and enabling development, Sanmenxia will continue to deepen the application and large-scale replication and promotion of 5G in key industries such as industry, agriculture, cultural tourism, education and new consumption, social and livelihood fields, and by the end of this year, Sanmenxia will implement more than 100 5G application projects and promote the construction of a number of "5G+ Industrial Internet" demonstration projects and typical application scenarios.

The plan proposes that Sanmenxia will coordinate and promote the construction of 5G base stations and sub-systems to promote the co-construction and sharing of telecommunications infrastructure and network resources, so as to accelerate 5G network coverage, and strengthen the strategic, basic and pioneering nature of communications infrastructure. Promote the facilities of  government organs, enterprises and institutions, public institutions, urban roads, passenger stations, green Spaces, large venues, scenic spots and other public facilities to open free of charge to the construction of communication facilities with attached cables and base stations. Based on the "8+6" industrial cluster and 12 key industrial chains, Sanmenxia will strengthen the integration of 5G with the industrial Internet, artificial intelligence, big data and other new generation information technologies, explore and create a number of "5G+ new materials", "5G+ high-end equipment", "5G+ smart coal mine" and other typical application scenarios of smart industry, and accelerate the replication and promotion. Comprehensively enable the manufacturing industry to change production, quality and efficiency. In terms of promoting 5G applications in the field of social livelihood, Sanmenxia will focus on the development of "5G+ smart education", "5G+ smart medical", "5G+ smart agriculture", "5G+ smart transportation" and "5G+ smart city" so that the public can share the rapid development of information technology. In addition, Sanmenxia will also rely on the advantages of technical resources such as China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, China Telecom Post and Telecommunications Consulting Planning and Design Institute, Shanghai Ideal Group, China Mobile (Shanghai) Industry Research Institute, make full use of the city's 5G Joint Innovation Center and the Municipal Industrial Internet Innovation Laboratory to actively strengthen 5G technology research and development, 5G network security and improve the support capabilities of key 5G technologies.
