As for Aluminum based new material industry,  Sanmenxia makes full use of Baowu Aluminum Industry, Hengkang Aluminum Industry, Cayman Aluminum Industry, Eastern Hope and other enterprises to establish good foundations of "business investment", and has introduced Juyuan new material annual output of 300,000 tons of high-end aluminum alloy plate, Jinzhe new material annual output of 150,000 tons of aluminum plate and foil and other key enterprises and projects, which greatly improved the production capacity of electronic, food and pharmaceutical, aluminum wheels and other deep processing products, and its automotive plates, aviation plates and other products filled the domestic gap.

In terms of copper-based new material industry, Sanmenxia relies on more than 500,000 tons of electrolytic copper associated with gold smelting, and makes Baoxin Electronics in Lingbao county successively put into production and produce 40,000 tons of copper foil for negative electrode of power lithium batteries, Huaxin copper foil has an annual output of 8,000 tons of HVLP (high-frequency ultra-low profile) copper foil, Hongyu Electronics has no rubber double-sided flexible copper-clad plate phase II, and Huisheng has an annual output of 130,000 tons of copper deep processing projects. Jinyuan Zhaohui rolled copper foil phase II, Baoxin Electronics annual output of 20,000 tons of high-performance copper foil and other projects have been accelerated. Sanmenxia has formed 260,000 tons of copper processing capacities, copper foil production capacity reached 80,000 tons, which ranked the first in the country and the third in the world, and its high-grade copper foil production accounted for 29% of the national market, which built and echoed the "China copper foil Valley" brand.

As for the modern gold industry, Sanmenxia relies on the Central Plains Gold smelter, SDIC Jincheng Metallurgy and other leading backbone enterprises to implement a variety of rare metal extraction and recovery and high-end new material production, Lingbao gold deep processing industrial park, an annual output of 150 tons of gold and silver precious metal products deep processing projects. In 2022, the gold output in Sanmenxia is 135.2 tons, ranking the second in the country for 39 consecutive years, which attained about 73.4 billion yuan of the main income of the gold industry, accounting for about 24% of the industrial added value in Sanmenxia.

There are no backward industries,but there only exist backward ways of development.
