Recently, it’s learned from the Healthcare Security Bureau of Sanmenxia Municipality that starting from October 31st, the selected results of centralized bulk-buying of the National Procurement Union of the Chinese Patent Medicine would be carried out in Henan. Sanmenxia participated in the centralized bulk-buying of twelve kinds of medicines. The prices of these medicines have all been slashed, effectively alleviating the financial burden of healthcare expenses for the public. 

According to the information, these twelve kinds of medicines are primarily used for the common blood stasis syndrome in clinical treatment of diseases such as tumors, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular conditions, and musculoskeletal injuries, which can promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, reduce swelling, and relieve pain. The selected products are mainstream products in daily clinical practice with a variety of dosage forms and specifications, effectively meeting the clinical medication needs. These twelve kinds of medicines include compound banzhong capsules, guanxinning injection, cinobufagin (tablets, capsules), etc. The initial procurement period is from October 31, 2023 to October 30, 2024. All public medical institutions, socially operated medical institutions designated by medical insurance that have reported their demands and designated pharmacy retail chains are eligible.

According to the relevant personnel from the Healthcare Security Bureau of Sanmenxia Municipality, the prices of the medicines selected by the National Procurement Union of the Chinese Patent Medicine have been reduced by 42.27% on average. For example, the price of the xiangdan injection, which is used to treat diseases such as angina and myocardial infarction, has been decreased from 37 yuan each to 8.16 yuan each, reduced by 77.95%. This will effectively reduce the financial burden of healthcare expenses on the public and make people truly feel satisfied, happy and secure in terms of medical insurance.
