Recently, Science and Technology Department of Henan Province announced the unit lists of a number of provincial science popularization bases to be built, and 30 science popularization bases in Henan were listed, and Miaodigou Museum in Sanmenxia was listed among them.

The provincial science popularization base built by Miaodigou Museum impart and popularize the connotation and important influence of Miaodigou culture to the masses through the basic exhibition "Bloom in China", the special exhibition "Miaodigou Memory", and the digital interactive exhibition "Encounter Miaodigou People". Since its opening, the museum has received about 150,000 visitors, carried out more than 60 science popularization activities, and participated in more than 20,000 people online and offline. In 2022, the museum won the "19th National Museum Top Ten Fine Exhibition Award" and "New Era Museum Top 100 Fine Exhibition" and other awards.

The Municipal Science and Technology Bureau will continue to strengthen the construction and management of science popularization bases. All the work should be made to accelerate the establishment of the echelon cultivation system, issue the "Management Measures of Sanmenxia Science Popularization Bases ", carry out the construction of science popularization bases, and focus on cultivating and recommending the creation of science popularization bases. We  need to actively guide the construction units of the science popularization base to carry out various forms of science popularization activities in combination with their own resources and advantages, further give play to the demonstration and leading role of the science popularization base in the dissemination of scientific knowledge, science popularization public services, etc., and make new contributions to the scientific and cultural quality of citizens in our city and the vigorous development of science popularization in Sanmenxia.
