After the first 12 white swans flew back to Sanmenxia on October 10th , the reporter learned from the Management Office of Sanmenxia in Henan Yellow River Wetland National Nature Reserve on October 31st, that up to the same morning, 481 white swans had flown back to Sanmenxia for the winter.

 At present, the white swans that flew back to Sanmenxia are mainly distributed in Sanmenxia Swan Lake National Urban Wetland Park, Yellow River Park, Hubin Wangguan Yellow River Wetland, Swan Bay in urban and rural integration demonstration zone and other places, among which the number of swans in Swan Bay of urban and rural integration demonstration zone is the largest.

The related staff in Management Office introduced that in order to ensure the safety of white swans in Sanmenxia, every year before the white swans fly back, they will organize personnel to carry out comprehensive, large-scale disinfection of white swan habitat, at the same time, the personnel will pull the police line and set warning signs to remind visitors not to close contact the white swan. In addition, they will also strengthen patrol and monitoring in each habitat, implement 24 hours on duty and daily reporting system, so as to ensure that the patrol is in place, the guards are on duty.

The staff member reminded that as the number of swans gradually increases, the public should not wear clothes with bright colors and not make loud noises in order to avoid disturbing the swans.

Among the white swans which flew back to Sanmenxia for winter, there is a white swan wearing No. 106 ring , which is the first white swan flying back to Sanmenxia for winter this year. It is also an "old friend" of Sanmenxia people. On October 20th , Zhang Mingyun, a photographer in Sanmenxia, found the white swan No.106 while taking pictures. On October 26th , he found the swan again in the Beiying section of the Yellow River Basin. "When I found No. 106 White Swan, it was swimming with its family of six in Canglong Lake in Swan Lake National Urban Wetland Park. Zhang Mingyun said.

According to the report, in order to better study and protect white swans, on February 9th this year, the national bird ring center -Sanmenxia Whooper Swan ring station staff wore rings and signal tracker for 50 white swans in order to better understand their flight path, altitude,  speed and habitat, the discovery of No. 106 ring swan is one of them.
