On January 20th, the reporter learned from the Sanmenxia Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau that the publicity of the results of the evaluation of Henan Province's provincial-level financial subsidies for the protection and development of traditional villages in 2022 has ended. A total of 25 traditional villages have been selected in the province, and  two villages in Sanmenxia are on the list, they are Yangmeihe Village, Guandaokou Town, Lushi County, and Beisu Village, Dongming Town.

Yangmeihe Village in Guandaokou Town with a long history was included in the first batch of Henan Province Traditional Villages List in July 2013. It has been formed before the Ming Dynasty. The Wengguan Natural Village under its jurisdiction has a relatively well-preserved ancient architectural complex of the Ming and Qing Dynasties - Shijia Residence.

Beisu Village, Dongming Town, was included in the fifth batch of Henan Province Traditional Villages List in January 2018. There is Beidou Qixing Old Street in the village. The layout of the houses in the village is mostly built around the direction of Big Dipper Old Street, which not only reflect the ancient and simple residential architecture style, but also show the rich connotation of residential culture.

 Traditional villages in Henan Province must meet the following conditions to apply for financial subsidies: a protection plan has been prepared and passed the provincial review with rich historical and cultural resources, outstanding protection value, clear protection and development orientation, and a certain industrial development foundation or potential; For villages that have obtained central financial subsidy funds for the protection and development of traditional villages, the protection and development projects with the central financial subsidy funds have progressed smoothly and achieved good results; in the past five years, the application for the use of other central and provincial financial subsidy funds has been standardized and orderly, and the funds has been used efficiently.

According to relevant regulations, the two traditional villages will receive about 1.8 million yuan in financial subsidy funds respectively.
