Miaodigou Museum Joins the Specialized Committee of Prehistoric Site Museum
On September 4th , the reporter learned from the Miaodigou Museum in Sanmenxia that the 2022 annual meeting of the Specialized Committee of Prehistoric Site Museum of the Chinese Museum Association was held in Zhengzhou in September 2nd , Miaodigou Museum was unanimously approved to join the Specialized Committee. At the same time, it also joined the Shangshan Site Management Center in Pujiang County and the Zigong Dinosaur Museum in Sichuan Province. So far, there are 41 member units of the Prehistoric Site Museum Specialized Committee.
The Specialized Committee of Prehistoric Site Museum of China Museum Association was established in 1998, which is the first academic body related to site museums in China. After over 20 years of development, this Specialized Committee has become a domestic authoritative professional culture institution. After becoming a member unit, Miaodigou Museum will establish a long-term cooperative relationship with the member units of the Special Committee, and continue to carry out exchanges and cooperation in joint exhibitions, inter library exchanges, talent training and other related work to tell a good story of prehistoric culture, activate the connotation of Yangshao culture, and enhance the brand influence of Miaodigou culture.
On October 17th , 2021, the Yangshao Cultural Discovery and the 100th anniversary of the birth of modern Chinese archaeology was held in Sanmenxia. Miaodigou Museum let all sectors of the society see a new cultural landmark with large scale and advanced facilities, which was praised by experts and scholars. On May 18th , 2022, the exhibition in Miaodigou Museum-"Flowers bloom in China -- Miaodigou and the history of early Chinese civilization" was rated as one of the top ten exhibition boutiques of the 19th session(2021) of National Museum . At present, the Miaodigou Museum has set up a basic exhibition of “Flowers bloom in China”, a digital exhibition of “Encountering Miaodigou People”, a thematic exhibition of “Memory of Miaodigou”and temporary exhibitions.
