In the first half of this year, the overall situation of epidemic prevention and control in Sanmenxia was stable and good, the supply of important commodities for people's livelihood was sufficient, the consumer market generally maintained a steady growth trend, and the overall price fluctuated within a reasonable range. The recent survey results of Sanmenxia Branch of the provincial land transfer team showed that Sanmenxia's consumer price index (hereinafter referred to as CPI) rose by 1.4% year on year in the first half of the year, 0.3% lower than the national average.

In the first half of the year, the prices of eight categories of goods and services showed a trend of "six increases, one decrease and one leveling". Among them, the residential category rose 4.9% year on year, the transportation and communication category rose 3.7% year on year, the other goods and services category rose 1.5% year on year, the clothing category, daily necessities and services category rose 0.7% year on year at the same time, the education, culture and entertainment category rose 0.6% year on year, the food, tobacco and liquor category fell 0.5% year on year, and the price of medical care category remained stable.

 Among the eight categories of commodity and service prices, the residential sector drove the total index up 0.76% with a contribution rate of 54.7%; Transportation and communications drove the total index up 0.54% with a contribution rate of 38.9%; Clothing, education, culture and entertainment, daily necessities and services, and other goods and services jointly affected the overall index up 0.23%. The food, tobacco and liquor that affected the decline of the total index drove the total index down 0.14% with a contribution rate of - 10.1%. It can be seen that housing, transportation and communication are the two main factors driving the rise of the general index.

 In the second half of this year, although the prices of meat, eggs, milk, fruits and vegetables will rise slightly due to the epidemic, weather, holidays and other factors, the prices of grains and vegetables will not fluctuate much because the summer grain harvest is better than the year round. With the continuation of the  Russia Ukraine war, the market price of international crude oil and precious metals are rising. It is expected that the price of consumer goods such as transportation and gold jewelry will remain high. At the same time, as the overall situation of epidemic prevention and control has stabilized and improved, the cultural and entertainment venues and travel agencies in Sanmenxia have gradually returned to normal operation. It is expected that the demand for cultural and entertainment consumption will surge, and the price will further rise.          

As the policy of ensuring supply and stabilizing prices, it is expected that the overall price in Sanmenxia will operate stably within a reasonable range in the second half of the year.
