Touring the Yellow River can exchange ideas and enhance friendship. The theme activity of “Journey to the Yellow River for Taiwan Youth” ended the trip of Sanmenxia on June 24th , which also marked the successful end of Henan activity. Nearly 30 Taiwan youth and media people gathered in Sanmenxia and had been to Mianchi County, Hubin District, Shaanzhou District and Lingbao City for 4 days to witness and experience the vicissitude of Yellow River culture and Xiaohan land.

On June 21st , the delegation of "Journey to the Yellow River for Taiwan Youth" hosted by the National Taiwan Affairs Office officially kicked off the tour to Sanmenxia. In Mianchi County, Taiwan youth walked into the Yangshao Culture Museum to learn about "Early China" through pieces of cultural relics. They sang about the Yellow River on the cruise ship and witnessed the clear water of the Yellow River. They visited the "ancient villages under the horizon" in the Shaanzhou Silo-cave and the performance site of the gongs and drums script in Shaanzhou. Li Yanru, a Taiwan youth who had studied erhu since childhood, and the performers jointly performed the clips of "Good Family in Nanwa". The melodious erhu and the high pitched and rough sound of gongs and drums have unique charm, which crossed the strait and the ages. Liu Leyan, a Taiwan Internet celebrity with more than 2 million fans, once came to Sanmenxia six years ago. She wrote, “I love Sanmenxia very much, she left a very good impression on me!” She said she would visit Sanmenxia again in the future.

Yang Chaohong, a designer and also a shutterbug . Sanmenxia Dam, Yangshao Culture Museum, Shaanzhou Silo-cave, Kongxiang Temple and Hangu Pass have different colors and charm in his shots. “All the wonderful moments, I want to bring them back to the strait." He said that the Hongnong Prefecture set up by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty gave him a sense of belonging to Lingbao. Later, he would bring his old father living in Taiwan to Sanmenxia to seek roots.

 After visiting the Kongxiang Temple, Zhu Tianqi, a Taiwan youth, who had seen the film “The Biography of the Bodhidharma Ancestor”since childhood, sat quietly under the Dharma Tower and felt the unique atmosphere here. Before dining at Longbo Reservoir, the initiators Huang Kaijia and Yang Chaohong couldn't help pushing the local millstone, turning it round and round, and exclaiming at the corn grits. 

This activity has attracted extensive attention from CCTV, Henan Daily, Henan Satellite TV and other media, which has been publicized and broadcast for many times.Taiwan Guide, a Taiwan newspaper has introduced lots of landscapes such as the Shaanzhou Silo-cave and the Sanmenxia Dam in a large space. Taiwan youth distributed nearly 100 videos, pictures and written reports on Sanmenxia with various new media platforms.
