One Exhibition in Sanmenxia Won the Honor of "Top Ten " in China

 May 18th marks International Museum Day. On May 18th , the  main activities for International Museum Day this year was opened in Wuhan, Hubei Province. The winners of the 19th (2021) National Museum's Top Ten Exhibition and Exquisite Works were announced at the meeting. The exhibition project of "Flowers Blooming in China -- Miaodigou and the History of Early Chinese Civilization" in Sanmenxia Miaodigou Yangshao Cultural Museum won the honor of "Top Ten Exquisite Works" in China, which is the only exhibition project in Henan that has won this honor.

 The exhibition hall of "Flowers Blooming in China - Miaodigou and the History of Early Chinese Civilization"with an exhibition line of 910 meters covers an area of 7287 square meters,  and 3344 pieces (sets) of cultural relics are displayed here. This exhibition is the first original Miaodigou culture exhibition that shows the most prosperous and influential Yangshao era in the context of early Chinese civilization. It is the prehistoric culture exhibition that shows the largest number and most complete types of painted pottery of Yangshao culture in China. Based on the theory of "double flower" and the latest archaeological excavation research results, the exhibition tells the story of Miaodigou culture, explores the main roots of Chinese civilization, and builds the cultural significance of "earliest China" through various exhibition means, including the theme hall, circular theater and digital exhibition hall .   

It is reported that the promotion of the top ten exhibitions in national museums is the highest award and the most famous cultural brand in the Chinese museum industry. It is known as the "Oscar Award" in the Chinese museum industry, and it has been selected for 18 consecutive times. This selection was guided by the State Administration of Cultural Relics and hosted by the China Museum Association and the China Cultural Relics Newspaper. A total of 157 projects were declared, which made a record number of applications.
