On the morning of September 28th, according to the unified deployment of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, the Sanmenxia branch event of the sixth phase of the province’s “three batches” project construction was held. Liu Nanchang, secretary of the municipal Party committee, emphasized in the event that it’s necessary to implement the new development concept completely, accurately and comprehensively, deeply carry out the innovation-driven development strategy, cultivate and expand market entities, pay close attention to project construction, continuously optimize services, strengthen tracking and inquiry, and welcome the success of the 20th CPC National Congress with practical achievements. Fan Fuzhong, deputy secretary of the municipal Party committee and mayor, delivered a speech.

He Jilin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the Central Plains Key Metal Laboratory, and He Manchao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered video speeches. Municipal leaders including Guo Hongxun, Wan Zhanwei, Li Changzhi, Wang Qinghua, Wang Songzhao, Wei Xiangyu, Sun Shufang and others attended the event at the main city venue or county (city, district) branch venues.

After listening to and watching the sixth phase of the “three batches” project construction activities, the activity of “signing a batch of projects” was carried out simultaneously, and the leaders including Liu Nanchang and Fan Fuzhong witnessed the signing of the projects; at the site of the Academician Industrial Park of Sanmenxia High-tech Zone, Liu Nanchang announced the construction of the Sanmenxia branch of the sixth phase of the “three batches” project - projects of “starting a batch of projects” started; at the project site of “putting a batch of projects into production”, such as the Nenghuan NPR new material project with an annual output of 50,000 tons, Liu Nanchang and others went into the company’s workshops to conduct on-site observation and guidance. 

During the event, Fan Fuzhong, on behalf of the municipal Party committee and municipal government, extended warm congratulations to the smooth start of the key projects, and extended sincere greetings and heartfelt thanks to the comrades who worked hard on the front line of project construction. He said that since the beginning of this year, the whole city has resolutely implemented the major requirements of the CPC Central Committee that “the epidemic must be prevented, the economy must be stabilized, and development must be safe”, the concept of “project as the king” has been thoroughly practiced, and the “three batches” project construction has been continuously promoted. Even at the most severe and critical time of epidemic prevention and control, we still went all out to ensure that the production of the enterprise did not stop, the construction of the project did not stop, and the progress of the project did not stall, achieving the operation and stabilization of double lines. The construction of a batch of innovation-driven projects represented by the Academician Industrial Park of Sanmenxia High-tech Zone has further accumulated momentum and laid a solid foundation for us to promote the transformation from a resource-based city into an innovative city. All departments at all levels must keep an eye on the annual goals, work hard and regard project construction as a key measure for stabilizing growth, expanding investment, and increasing stamina, so as to ensure that this year’s work can be completed well and lay a good foundation for the next year. All project units should closely follow the time schedule, work in shifts, and speed up the construction progress to ensure that key projects can be completed, put into production, and achieve results early.

At the event site, Sanmenxia has signed 22 projects with a total investment of 9.65 billion yuan, involving new materials, high-tech, equipment manufacturing, fine chemicals, intelligent manufacturing and other fields; 31 major projects have been started, with a total investment of 10.48 billion yuan, involving strategic emerging industries, new materials, new infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, ecological environmental protection, social and people’s well-being and other fields; 41 projects have been put into production, with a total investment of 22.8 billion yuan, involving new materials, advanced manufacturing, new infrastructure, digital economy, ecological environmental protection, people’s well-being, social undertakings, etc.
