Chen Junhua, general manager of the sales department of Zhongjin, said with confidence: “Expanding the export of finished products of processing trade will allow the company to usher in a greater domestic and foreign market.” Three days ago, after customs declaration and clearance, Henan Zhongyuan Gold Smelter’s first order of re-export of copper concentrate processing, 11 million dollars of cathode copper shipped at the Sanmenxia railway transportation customs supervision site. This is the first order for the re-export of finished products in Sanmenxia’s processing trade, filling the gap in our city’s processing trade.

In July 2021, Henan Zhongyuan Gold Smelter obtained the license from the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs to carry out the processing trade of importing copper concentrate and exporting electrolytic copper and copper products. Sanmenxia Customs has set up a special work group to provide one-on-one door-to-door services such as sorting out processing trade policies, explaining supervision phases, and helping to handle manuals, and instructing China Gold to handle the first processing trade manual. Sanmenxia Customs has coordinated the rapid release of the first batch of copper concentrate and gone to the factory to guide the storage of bonded materials, import and export supervision, material feeding and processing loss, etc. It has carried out follow-up supervision of the whole process, and provided optimized services while strictly supervising. At 9:00 a.m. on April 2nd, the first re-export of copper concentrate processing trade of finished cathode copper was declared and cleared at Sanmenxia Customs, and shipped at 9:30. 

“This time, the London LME copper price window period was very short. We seized this window period in time and locked the transaction price. This order has brought a gross profit of nearly 10 million yuan to our factory. If there had been no preliminary work by the customs, it would have been impossible.” “With the first example, we will increase the business volume of processing trade, make full use of both domestic and foreign markets, and maximize the company’s benefit,” said Chen Junhua.

Our city’s foreign trade import and export has been general trade for a long time, lacking other trade forms such as processing trade, and the single trade structure has always restricted the development of foreign economy.
