From January to February, Sanmenxia conscientiously implemented the decisions and deployments of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, scientifically coordinated epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, carried out in-depth activities of “ten thousand people helping ten thousand enterprises”. The industrial added value above designated size increased by 9.9% year-on-year in Sanmenxia, and a “good start” has been achieved successfully. 

Industrial production rebounded steadily and achieved rapid growth. From January to February, Sanmenxia’s industrial added value above designated size increased by 9.9% year-on-year, 3.4 % higher than the provincial average growth rate and 2.4 % higher than the national average growth rate, which was 4.0 % faster than that in December 2021. 

The large and medium-sized enterprises grew rapidly, which has strongly supported industrial production. From January to February, large and medium-sized enterprises showed a good trend of rapid growth. The industrial added value increased by 10.4% year-on-year, 7.1% higher than that in December 2021, which was driving the city’s industrial growth by 7.8 percentage points and contributing 79.0% to the city’s industry. 

Micro-enterprises grew rapidly, and the industrial added value increased by 108.7% year-on-year,which was driving the city’s industrial growth by 2.7% and contributing 26.9% to the city’s industry. 

Key industries are the main driving force. From January to February, among the 30 major industrial sectors in Sanmenxia, 14 sectors saw an increase in industrial production. Among them, the top five industries driving the city’s industry are: the industrial added value of non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 12.3%; the coal mining and washing industry increased by 21.0%; the chemical raw material and chemical product manufacturing industry increased by 34.2%; the food manufacturing industry increased by 80.5%; and the electricity and heat production and supply industry increased by 3.0%. These five industries account for 83.4% of the city’s industry, which was driving the industrial growth by 10.4%  and contributing 105.1% to the city’s industry. 

The new driving force grew quickly. Strategic emerging industries maintained a rapid growth trend. From January to February, the industrial added value of strategic emerging industries increased by 13.1% year-on-year, accounting for 12.3% of the industry above designated size,  which was driving the city’s industrial growth by 1.5% and contributing 15.4% to the city’s industry. Among them, the new material industry, high-end equipment manufacturing industry and biological industry grew rapidly, with increasing rates of 48.6%, 45.5% and 10.1% year-on-year respectively. 

The growth of high-growth manufacturing industries accelerated. From January to February, the industry added value of the high-growth manufacturing industries in Sanmenxia increased by 11.3% year-on-year, 1.4 % higher than the city’s average growth rate, and 2.8% faster than that in December 2021, which was driving the city’s industrial growth by 1.0% and contributing 9.6% to the city’s industry. Among them, the food industry grew by 25.8%, 15.9% higher than the city’s average growth rate, which was driving the city’s industrial growth by 1.3% and contributing 12.9% to the city’s industry.
