After the spring equinox, the picturesque scenery along the Yellow River Ecological Corridor has attracted many citizens and tourists to come for leisure and sightseeing. This year, Sanmenxia will further promote the quality, speed and efficiency of the construction of the ecological corridor along the Yellow River, dig deep into the cultural resources of the Yellow River, promote the integrated development of culture, tourism, and cultural and creative industries, use culture to lighten up the corridor in order to attract more people to listen to the Yellow River story. 

Build high-quality tourist routes. With the Swan Lake tourist resort and the main urban area as the core, relying on the existing AAAAAA level scenic spots along the Yellow River (Sanmenxia Dam, Swan Lake National Urban Wetland Park, the Yellow River Park, Hangu Pass, Shanzhou Silo-cave, the Yellow River Canyon) and other high-quality resources, Sanmenxia coordinates as a whole, promotes the in-depth integration of ecological elements and tourism, focuses on the creation of Maojin ancient ferry, Ming and Qing ancient jujube forests, Dongpo homestay and picking base and other scenic spots, builds flood control lanes, the trinity of tourist green lanes of electric bicycle lanes, biking lanes and walking lanes and the supporting infrastructure, to form the most beautiful high-quality tourist route along the Yellow River.

Build high-quality sports events. Relying on the corridor to plan the “swimming, running, biking, and walking” sports events along the Yellow River, Sanmenxia will continue to hold the China Sanmenxia Crossing the Mother River event, and further develop the Sanmenxia Yellow River Marathon and Swan Women’s Marathon, and the “Shanzhou Silo-cave Cup” National Mountain Bike Invitational Tournament and other brand events, to gather popularity in Sanmenxia and prosper the sports economy.

 Build high-quality cultural landmarks. Taking the implementation of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter as an opportunity, Sanmenxia will deeply explore the philosophical thoughts, humanistic spirits, values and moral standards in cultural elements such as Holy Land Yangshao, Blossoming China, Mainstay, Charm of Guo State, Laozi Tao Te Ching and White Swan. Relying on the excellent traditional cultural resources such as the Sanmenxia Dam, the legend of Dayu’s water control, and the stories of the Yellow River governance in the past, Sanmenxia will create a number of tourism “hot spots” and “check-in places”, and launch a number of high-quality literary and artistic works and performance projects with distinctive local characteristics and profound cultural heritage, showing the unique charm of the Yellow River culture and the Yellow River spirit. At the same time, with Yangshao Village National Archaeological Site Park, Miaodigou Archaeological Site Park, and Beiyangping Protective Display Project as important support, Yangshao Culture Industrial Park’s “Seven Ones” (one hall, one district, one residence, One school, one village, one garden, one section) project construction as the focus, Sanmenxia will accelerate the construction of the national archaeological site parks and exhibition projects that integrate site protection, value interpretation, relics display, archaeological research, popular science publicity, and sightseeing, to build a spiritual landmark of national culture confidence.
