The construction site was rumbling, and the machines kept running... On March 1st, the reporter discovered that Swan Lake  Park, located in 100 meters away from northwest of the intersection of Yangshao Avenue and Jinchang flyover in the urban area of Sanmenxia, is undergoing expansion and renovation, According to the on-site construction personnel, 98 acres of lavender flowers will be added during this expansion and reconstruction project, and it is expected that all construction will be completed by the end of May and ready to open to the public.

Covered an area of 110 acres. the Swan Lake Park is newly-built in Sanmenxia during the National Day in 2021. It was rebuilt from the former barren grassland in the south door of Swan Lake. It includes healthy runways, children's entertainment, smart facilities, etc. It is the highlight of Yangshao Avenue Landscape Greening Improvement Project and the first characteristic smart amusement park integrated with"high quality, intelligence and new fashion" in Sanmenxia. 

"After the completion, the Swan Lake Park has been welcomed by the public. We will continue to expand the north side of the reconstruction project to further improve the quality of the Swan Lake Park." The relevant person in charge of Sanmenxia Highway Business Development Center introduced to the reporter that in terms of design ideas, the expansion project is closely related to Swan Lake park with theme of a sea of lavender flowers. Because lavender is bright-colored with auspicious implications and blooms from May to September with long flowering period. In addition, there are also added some children's entertainment facilities, water systems and other landscapes.

In terms of construction, the Swan Lake Park has achieved high-speed progress of the project. The project implementation was confirmed on February 7th , its plan was fixed on February 15th , and its construction began on February 17th..."At present,  infrastructure such as table cleaning, roadbed, drainage, etc. have been completed. It is planned to complete the construction and ready to open to the public by the end of May." Yang Xinbing, the relevant person in charge of the project, told reporters.

In addition, the expansion project and the existing plants in the park will form a flower sea landscape with flowers in all seasons, including Fendai chamomile, eucalyptus, aster, and zinnia,  Standing on the viewing platform at the crest of the flower sea, you can not only overlook the panoramic view of the flower sea in the park, but also you can overlook the Yellow River and the panoramic view of Sanmenxia. At that time, several hundred acres of lavender will become another new Instagram-worthy location for local citizens.
