The Total Retail Sales of Consumer Goods in Sanmenxia Hit 53.513 Billion Yuan
Recently, according to data released by Sanmenxia Municipal Bureau of Statistics in 2021, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Sanmenxia reached 53.513 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%, 2.4 % higher than the provincial average, and its total increased 6.64% compared with 2019,and an average growth of 3.27% within two years. On the whole, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Sanmenxia has shown a trend of decreasing gradually , and its market supply has exceeded the level of normal years before the pandemic.
Commodity retailing accounts for a large proportion in total retail sales of consumer goods in Sanmenxia, which is the great driver to boost economic growth. In 2021, according to consumption type, the retail sales of commodities in Sanmenxia reached 46.32 billion yuan, and catering revenue accounted for 7.19 billion yuan. The retail sales of goods increased by 10.5% over the same period of the previous year, which was 0.2 % lower than the total retail sales of consumer goods in Sanmenxia; catering revenue increased by 12% over the same period of the previous year, which was 1.3 % higher than the total retail sales of consumer goods in Sanmenxia. Commodity retailing accounted for 86.6% of the city's total retail sales of consumer goods, which was the main factor to drive growth.
The growth rate of total retail sales of consumer goods in rural areas is relatively fast, and the leading role of cities and towns is strong. According to the location of the business units, the total retail sales of consumer goods in urban areas was 44.07 billion yuan, an increase of 9.6% over the same period of the previous year, which was 1.1 % lower than the total retail sales of consumer goods in the city; the total retail sales of consumer goods in rural areas was 9.44 billion yuan, an increase of 16.1% over the same period of the previous year , higher than 5.4 percentage points in the city. The rural market still own great consumption potential and its growth rate of total retail sales of consumer goods is relatively fast; the total retail sales of urban consumer goods accounts for 82.4% of the city's total, and urban residents' consumption is still the main force in the market.
Wholesale, retail, and catering industries lead the way, and there is still a gap in the accommodation industry. In terms of different industries, the city's wholesale and retail retail sales were 46.24 billion yuan, accounting for 86.4% of the city's total, an increase of 10.5% over the same period of the last year. Among them, the retail sales of the wholesale industry was 2.48 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%; the retail sales of the retail industry was 43.76 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%. The retail sales of the city's accommodation and catering industry was 7.27 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12%. Among them, the retail sales of the accommodation industry was 470 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%; the retail sales of the catering industry was 6.80 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.4%.
The growth rate of enterprises (units) above the designated size is high, and its driving to boost economy is obvious. The city's enterprises (units) above designated size achieved a retail sales of 10.99 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.8%, and its growth rate was 6.1 % higher than that of the city's total retail sales of consumer goods.
Commodities of daily use increased steadily and rapidly. From the perspective of commodity consumption classification of enterprises above the designated size, the retail sales of grain, oil, food, beverages, office supplies, furniture and other daily life categories increased respectively by 17.7%, 76.1%, 41.5%, and 29.6% over the same period of the previous year, which were higher than the retail sales growth rate of the above enterprises 0.9%, 59.3%, 24.7% and 12.8 % respectively.
Consumption on upgraded goods have increased significantly. The retail sales of gold and silver jewelry, sports and entertainment products, electronic publications and audio-visual products, and communication equipment increased by 20.4%, 30%, 66%, and 31.2% respectively over the same period of the previous year, which were much higher than the retail sales above the designated size 3.6%, 13.2%,49.2% and 14.4% respectively.
