The much-anticipated Yangshao Village National Archaeological Site Park will officially open to the public on June 30th . At present, the finishing work such as road paving in the main scenic area is being carried out in an orderly manner.

The Yangshao Village National Archaeological Site Park was established on the basis of the Yangshao Village site, which is the birthplace and naming place of the Neolithic Yangshao Culture, Yangshao Village site enjoyed profound historical and cultural heritage. In 1961, the site of Yangshao Village was rated as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.

Yangshao Village National Archaeological Site Park was approved by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage in December 2017. At present, it has been included in Henan provincial key projects. The total area of the project is 189.89 hectares (about 2,800 mu), and the cultural protection projects and cultural relics display projects in key protected areas cover an area of more than 900 mu, with a planned investment of 160 million yuan. After the park is completed, it will become a distinctive and iconic cultural landscape in Mianchi County, and it will also be an important window for displaying Yangshao culture.

Yangshao Village National Archaeological Site Park connects Yangshao Culture Museum, Excavation Memorial Sites, Cultural Layer Sections, Archaeological Exhibition Areas and other scenic spots in series with a combination of points and lines, which forms a display structure of "one center, two rings, three squares, four points and five gardens". It not only highlights the commemorativeness of archaeological achievements of the Yangshao Village Cultural Site, but also reflects the authenticity of the site's display and the integrity of the site's environment.

"After a year and a half of construction, the site park will be officially opened to the public on June 30th . At present, we are in the process of finishing the work, and we strive to allow tourists who come to Mianchi to fully experience the charm of Yangshao culture." Kang Jiyun, who is in charge of Yangshao Village National Archaeological Site Park Project introduced. More than 46 million yuan has been invested in the environmental improvement and infrastructure projects of the park, accounting for 95% of the total project. The park's scene sculptures, painted pottery sketches, main road paving, park display screens, benches, trash cans, and water wells have all been completed. At present, projects such as office guide service, Anderson's former residence, scenic spot guide system, and scenic spot intelligence are under construction. It is predicted that after the completion of the project in the future, the annual average number of tourists will reach 733,000. The operating income of the project includes accommodation and catering, performing arts, experiential projects, shopping and related income, with an average annual after-tax profit of 30 million yuan.

It is reported that more than 70 people can be employed during the project operation. Once it puts into operation, it will drive the development of catering, accommodation, shopping and transportation in and around the project area and will create employment for nearly 1,000 people in society. This project will not only promote the development of local characteristic agriculture, handicraft manufacturing, catering and other related industries, but also will bring more employment opportunities, which will increase residents' income and improve their living standards.
