On the morning of July 10th, according to the unified arrangement of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, the major project construction in Henan province and “three batches” promotion meeting of the Sanmenxia branch was held. Liu Nanchang, secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, emphasized in the event that all departments at all levels must deeply understand the spirit of the provincial meeting, firmly establish a clear orientation of project as king, and focus on major projects, especially major industrial projects, work hard, reform and innovate, in order to make Sanmenxia’s GDP growth rate, fixed asset investment, especially industrial investment growth rate higher than the national and provincial average level and rank in the forefront of Henan province. 

Fan Fuzhong, deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and acting mayor, Zhang Songlin, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and minister of the United Front Work Department, and Wei Xiangyu, deputy mayor, attended the event. 

After listening to and watching the major project construction in Henan province and “three batches” promotion meeting, Liu Nanchang, Fan Fuzhong and other leaders attending the meeting witnessed the signing of the project together. At the site of projects in the “start batch” such as the remote technical transformation of Sinoway Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Liu Nanchang announced the start of the Sanmenxia projects of the joint start activity of the provincial major projects in the third quarter of 2021. At the site of projects in the “production batch” such as Epoch Technology IC and new material application industrial demonstration park, Liu Nanchang and Fan Fuzhong pushed the lever together to announce the projects’ commissioning, and went to the production line for on-site observation. 

During the event, Fan Fuzhong, on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and municipal government, expressed warm congratulations on the project that started successfully, and extended sincere condolences and thanks to friends from all walks of life, engineering construction units at all levels and project builders who care and support the development of Sanmenxia. He said that since the beginning of this year, the Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government have regarded project construction as an important part for promoting economic and social transformation and innovative development, and building a strong inter-provincial regional central city. Insisting on “project is king”, focusing on “four comparisons and four looks”, guided by the “year of excellence and quality improvement” for project construction and through the carrier of “10,000 People Helping 10,000 Enterprises” activity, they constantly improve the working mechanism of “industry planning and guidance, joint review and approval coordination, resource element guarantee, closed-loop process management”, firmly grasp planning, improve service, emphasize arrangement and promote progress. The construction of key projects in Sanmenxia has been solidly carried forward. He hoped that all departments at all levels will further seize the opportunity, take advantage of the trend, forge ahead, strive to be the first, quickly set off a new round of project construction boom, and inject new strong impetus into the accelerated economic and social development of Sanmenxia. Under the premise of safe production, all construction units should speed up the progress, promote project construction with high standards, high quality and high efficiency, and strive for early completion and production. The local government and relevant departments of the projects should provide all-round, full-chain, seamless high-quality services, and make new and greater contributions to promoting the high-quality economic and social development of Sanmenxia.

At the event site, there were 12 signed projects in all with a total investment of 18.18 billion yuan, involving new materials, new energy, biomedicine, artificial intelligence and other fields. There were 265 joint-start construction projects with a total investment of 73.3 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 30.1 billion yuan, involving industrial transformation and development, new infrastructure, social and people’s livelihood, ecological and environmental protection and other fields, which will play an important role in further promoting the adjustment of the city’s industrial structure and cultivating new advantages in economic development.
