On May 13th , the 27th Sanmenxia Yellow River Cultural Tourism Festival and the 8th China Characteristic Commodities Fair(hereinafter referred to as "One Festival and One Fair") press conference was held in Henan Provincial Government Press Conference Hall in Zhengzhou. An Wei, Deputy Secretary of Sanmenxia Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, made a press release, and Niu Suling, the second-level inspector of Henan Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, presided over the press conference. The responsible comrades attended it and answered questions from reporters. More than 50 news media from the central government , the provincial government and the provincial capital participated in the press conference.

This festival will be held in Sanmenxia from May 19th to 25th. It is strongly supported by the China Business Federation and the China Business Enterprise Management Association. It is organized by the Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Henan Provincial Department of Commerce, and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Henan Provincial Committee, the Sanmenxia Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Sanmenxia Municipal People’s Government are co-sponsored, and jointly undertaken by Henan Cultural Industry Investment Co., Ltd. and Sanmenxia Cultural Tourism Transportation Development Group Co., Ltd.

There are 19 activities in this festival, of which 8 are the main events, namely the "Swan's Date" guest conference, the opening ceremony of the "One Festival and One Fair", the 8th China Characteristic Commodities Fair, and the 2021 Yellow River Cultural Tourism Innovation Conference, Yellow River Golden Triangle Industrial Cooperation (Sanmenxia) Summit, "Mainstay", "Yellow River Cantata", Crossing the Mother River in 2021, and the first session of Sanmenxia "Yellow River Boats" sailing match; There are also 11 special events, namely "Light Up the Swan City·Beautiful 

Yellow River" Summer Music Season, Yellow River Basin Eco-Climate Resource Development Conference, First National Car Association Self-Driving across the Yellow River Ecological Corridor, "Embracing Mother River" Ten Thousand Tent Festival, Lushi"Top 100 Breathing Towns", the 4th Cross Country Elite Challenge Match, Hangu Talking·Hundreds of People Recitations with Han Chinese Clothing, the 15th National Twins Rafting Competition, "Happy Yellow River" Roman Rainbow Run, Mountain Bike Invitational Tournament, the 6th "Charming Yangshao Tour", Big Cherry Culture Art Week.

An Wei said in a press release that the Sanmenxia Yellow River Cultural Tourism Festival has been successfully held for 26 years since its establishment in 1992. It is currently the longest, most influential, and highest-level comprehensive festival activities with the theme of "Yellow River Cultural Tourism" in the Yellow River Basin. . This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Yangshao Culture. It is also the first time that Sanmenxia has implemented strategic cooperation and adopted a market-based hosting operation model to hold festivals . Compared with previous years, this year’s festival will focus on the centuries glory of CPC and singing the main theme of the times; it closely follows the major national strategies of ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, strengthens regional linkage and cooperation; anchors industrial upgrading, and deepens economic and trade cooperation; it is also a good opportunity to show Sanmenxia’s image; it focuses on the participation of the whole people and creates a cultural and tourism feast. During the festival, all A-level tourist attractions in Sanmenxia will implement a 50% discount on tickets for the people of the whole country, and it truly becomes a cultural and tourism feast for the whole people. An Wei issued the "Swan’s Date" to friends at home and abroad, and sincerely invites guests from all over the world to gather on the Yellow River and meet at the tourism festival to experience the profound Yellow River culture and appreciate the unique charm of the Swan City.

Media reporters asked questions related to cultural and tourism activities, arrangements for economic and trade activities, preparations for  crossing the Mother River, and how to use festivals to promote development.
