On April 17th, 2021 Sanmenxia’s first Future Sports Cup "Eight-a-side" football league kicked off at the Shijianhe Sports Park. In the following month, lots of football matches will be played here to create a stronger football atmosphere for the public.

On the same day, after a brief kick-off ceremony, the first match was played between Wanzhong Decoration·Net team and Xili·Zhijiao team. In the field, the players competed fiercely; outside the field, the audience was full of enthusiasm. After 80 minutes of fierce competition, Wanzhong Decoration·Net team defeated Xili·Zhijiaoteam with 2:0.

This session of football league is hosted by Sanmenxia Football Association and Sanmenxia Future Sports Mall. It aims to implement the national fitness program so as to create football atmosphere , increase the football population of Sanmenxia, promote the popularization of football and improve the people’s health and quality of life, and finally promote the football competition in Sanmenxia. The event will last from April 17th to June 13th, with a total of 144 players from 9 teams.

This match adopts a round-robin system, each team gets 3 points for winning a game and 1 point for drawing a game, 0 points for a loss, and those with more points are ranked first; The ranking rules are determined by scores, goals difference, number of goals, win-lose relationship between both sides, red cards and yellow cards; if they are still equal, the ranking will be determined by lottery. The match adopts an eight-player system with No. 5 size of football, the whole match is 80 minutes with a 10-minute intermission, which is divided into two halves, and each match can change 6 players.
