On September 2nd, the 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services (hereinafter referred to as the “CIFTIS”) opened in Beijing. On September 5 last year, at the 2020 CIFTIS, Sanmenxia Economic Development Zone and Beijing Epoch Technology, IMECAS, Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Epoch Technology”) signed the cooperative production base project for the automobile electronic chip R&D, which received wide attention. One year has passed now, how does this project go? On September 5, the reporter conducted an interview. 

It is reported that Epoch is a high-tech enterprise in the integrated circuit and new materials industry introduced by the Sanmenxia Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government. The company’s high-reliability assembly and testing line mainly produces high-reliability chip products required by national key projects.

“One year ago, as the only project in Sanmenxia and one of the five projects in Henan province, we signed the contract on the stage of the Henan theme day promotion conference of trade in services in the 2020 CIFTIS. Participation in such a high-profile event has instilled a strong motivation for entrepreneurship into all the employees.” Said Wang Kai, director of the office of the general manager of Sanmenxia subsidiary company.

Since the participation in the CIFTIS in September last year, the construction and production of Epoch Technology has achieved the Sanmenxia “acceleration”. In November 2020, the GPP wafer project of Sanmenxia Zhongke Ruiguang Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Epoch Technology, started construction, creating the first wafer production line in Sanmenxia. In December 2020, the Epoch Technology production base construction project located in the east area of the Sanmenxia Economic Development Zone was officially capped. In April 2021, the Zhongke Ruiguang project was put into production, and the first batch of wafers was successfully mass-produced. Its products are mainly used in automotive electronics, communication security, industrial control, smart cities and other fields.

On July 10th this year, Epoch Integrated Circuit and New Material Application Industrial Demonstration Park was successfully put into production. The production line includes the entire process from wafer testing, assembly, screening, inspection to delivery. The high-reliability chip products required for national key projects are from this production line. The first phase of the project can achieve an annual production capacity of 100,000 power devices and 1 million integrated circuit products, making Epoch Technology a large-scale assembly and testing base radiating the central region.

Since the launch of this year’s “Ten Thousand People Help Ten Thousand Enterprises”activity, the relevant working groups of Henan Province, the main leaders of Sanmenxia and the Economic Development Zone have come to Epoch Technology for on-site investigations several times, focusing on helping to alleviate their difficulties, and effectively solving the actual problems faced by them in their development. When it came to specific issues such as imported equipment, the customs department innovated the service model to promote the normal production of enterprises. Right now, the related chip products of the Zhongke Ruiguang project have successfully opened up sales... Now, the high-tech business card of “Sanmenxia Chip” is getting more and more shining.
