Recently, the opening ceremony of the Sanmenxia Mainstay Sculpture Art Museum was held. Relevant persons in charge of Propaganda Department of Sanmenxia Municipal Party Committee , Cultural Bureau of Hubin District and more than 10 funs of sculpture, calligraphy, literature and art from Sanmenxia participated.

Sanmenxia Mainstay Sculpture Art Museum is located in Xieqiao New Village, Naidi Street, Hubin District, Sanmenxia City. It covers an area of more than 500 square meters. The museum collects more than 300 pieces of ancient stele inscriptions, brick carvings, wood carving artworks, modern replica carvings, rubbings from inscriptions, etc. The curator Mr.Qu Huanyu has been famous for carving wooden furniture for generations. He liked wood carving since he was a child. In 1998, he studied and practiced stone carving skills diligently, and later he established a company which specialized in production and operation of art carving. Qu Huanyu is keen on cultural and artistic undertakings, and loves collecting ancient Shanzhou sculpture art. At the beginning of 2010, he set out to build a sculpture art gallery. After 10 years of accumulation and exploration, he successfully copied the inscriptions related to ancient Shanzhou, entiled as "Mainstay Inscriptions", "Three Doors Mainstay Pictures", "Eight sceneries of Shaanzhou", "Gan Tang Trees" and so on, which were greatly appreciated by industry insiders and related cultural departments in Sanmenxia.

Qu Huanyu said that he will use the mainstay sculpture art museum as an exchange and learning platform to show the charming of sculpture art to the society in order to further dig deeper into the cultural heritage of sculptures in western Henan, and contribute to the inheritance and development of sculpture culture and art in Sanmenxia.
