Sanmenxia's Economy is Seeking Progress

According to preliminary calculations, in the first six months of 2021, Sanmenxia’s  GDP reached 73.54 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.8% at comparable prices. In terms of industries, the added value of the primary industry was 3.14 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%; the added value of the secondary industry was 37.80 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.1%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 32.60 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%.

Sanmenxia Municipal Bureau of Statistics recently released statistics showing that since the beginning of 2021, Sanmenxia has conscientiously implemented various provincial and municipal decisions and deployments, all the work has been done to continue to consolidate and expand the results of epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, and Sanmenxia’s economy has shown stable  development.

Agricultural production is stable, and the livestock industry has grown rapidly. In the first six months of 2021, Sanmenxia’s total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery reached 6.01 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.1% at comparable prices. Sanmenxia's summer grain output was 360000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%. The output of vegetables and edible fungi was 256,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.2%. The output of pork, beef, mutton and poultry reached 48,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%. Milk production increased by 11.2%.

The recovery of industrial production has accelerated, and the high-tech industry has grown rapidly. In the first six months of 2021, the added value of the Sanmenxia's industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 15.7% year-on-year. In terms of economic types, the value added of state-controlled enterprises increased by 18.8% year-on-year, joint-stock enterprises increased by 18.1%, foreign enterprises, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan investment enterprises increased by 7.9%, and private enterprises increased by 15.4%. The added value of high-tech industries increased by 18.9% year-on-year.

Market sales have gradually improved, and online sales have accelerated. In the first six months of 2021, Sanmenxia's total retail sales of consumer goods was 26.51 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.0%. Among them, the retail sales of urban consumer goods was 5.46 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.0%; the retail sales of rural consumer goods was 480 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 85.8%. In the first six months of 2021, Sanmenxia's sales of goods by units above designated size through public networks increased by 62.9% year-on-year.

Fixed asset investment has grown steadily, and industrial investment has accelerated. In the first six months of 2021, Sanmenxia's fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) increased by 13.0% year-on-year. In terms of industries, investment in the primary industry dropped by 12.5% year-on-year, investment in the secondary industry increased by 14.2%, and investment in the tertiary industry increased by 19.4%. In terms of sectors, private investment increased by 6.7% year-on-year, industrial investment increased by 14.1% year-on-year, infrastructure investment increased by 41.8% year-on-year, and real estate development investment increased by 17.7% year-on-year. Investment in high-tech industries increased by 10.2% year-on-year.

Consumer prices rose moderately. In the first six months of 2021, Sanmenxia's consumer prices rose by 0.4% year-on-year. In terms of categories, food, tobacco and alcohol prices rose by 1.0%, clothing prices fell by 1.7%, housing prices fell by 0.3%, the price of daily necessities and services fell by 0.1%, transportation and communications prices rose by 0.8%, the cost on education, culture and entertainment rose by 0.7%, and the costs on health care rose by 1.8%. , Other costs on supplies and services rose 0.8%.
