On June 6th, the first International Gantang Culture Research Symposium was held in Sanmenxia Gantang Garden. Yuan Nansheng, former Party Secretary and Executive Vice President of China Foreign Affairs University, spoke highly of Sanmenxia’s exploration, achievements and influence on promoting Shaogong culture and Gantang culture, and he also gave some guiding opinions and suggestions on how to further expand the influence of Shaogong culture and Gantang culture at home and abroad .

Sanmenxia Gantang Garden is a garden landscape with the theme of the Yellow River culture, Shaogong culture, and Gantang culture, it has been created by the Director of the Shaogong Culture Research Center of the Chinese National Culture Promotion Association and Entrepreneur Wu Qimin for more than 20 years. Yuan Nansheng, former Party Secretary and Executive Vice President of China Foreign Affairs University, who has been to Sanmenxia Gantang Garden three times, Wang Taili, editor-in-chief of "Qingfeng" magazine who has visited here many times, and Zhou Li, a famous writer who came to Sanmenxia for the first time. They were all deeply moved by Wu Qimin’s infatuation with the Yellow River culture and his spirit of researching Zhaogong culture , they all expressed that they would like to vigorously promote and support the study of the Sanmenxia Yellow River Culture, Shaogong Culture, and Gantang Culture, and they would make great efforts to expand their influence at home and abroad.

At the symposium, Yuan Nansheng proposed to let the world understand Gantang culture through the "four changes", and let Gantang culture go to the world, that is to say, Gantang Academy needs to transform from hardware construction to software construction, and the related construction administrators need to transform from entrepreneurs to scholars. Gantang culture need to change from domestic propaganda to foreign propaganda, and Gantang Garden need to change from a tourist attraction to a spiritual home. In terms of specific measures, Yuan Nansheng suggested that both academic research and knowledge introduction, Shaogong culture research and Gantang culture research, Shaogong thought research and dynamic activities should be promoted simultaneously,  and we should tell the story of the Yellow River civilization and the story of Gantang’s last love in order to continue expand the positive influence of Shaogong spirit and Gantang culture at home and abroad.
