When the forsythia flowers bloom, the mountains are dyed gold like painting screens. On March 21st, “Forsythia Blossom · Happy Lushi”, Lushi’s first forsythia flower season fishing cum photography contest started successfully. This event further enriched the forms of the forsythia flower season activities and promoted special agricultural products and cultural tourism resources, demonstrating the prosperous blooming season of forsythia flowers as well as the beauty of nature, humanity and development of “Free Landscape · Clear Lushi”. On that day, more than 200 recreational fishing enthusiasts and well-known senior photographers from all over the country participated in the contest.

As the first event of the first forsythia flower season, the fishing contest was held by Sanmenxia Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, Sanmenxia Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the government of Lushi county. More than 150 people from all over the country were invited to participate in the competition. The photography contest was held by the Municipal Photographers Association and the Publicity Department of the Lushi County Party Committee. More than 500 photographs were collected and more than 100 excellent works were exhibited. With the theme of showing “the beauty of Lushi”, the development achievements of the forsythia industry, and the beautiful landscape of the blooming forsythia flowers, it shows the great achievements made by Lushi County in poverty alleviation, industrial development, and rural revitalization in recent years. 

At 8:30 in the morning, the fishing competition started, and the players showed their talents. After more than 3 hours of fierce competition, fishing lover Zhou Zejun from Lingbao won the first prize,  Song Xin from Sanmenxia won the second prize, and fishing lover Jiang Jiawei from Xinyang won the third prize.

 The organization and guarantee work of this competition was effective and in order, receiving wide praise from fishing lovers and photographers all over the country. Gang Diaolian, a fishing enthusiast from Zhengzhou said: “After visiting Lushi personally, I find it’s much better than I thought. The streets are clean and the people are enthusiastic. I fell in love with this place very soon and I will come back to Lushi in the future.”
