As the exhibition halls are being dismantled one after another...On December 30th of 2020, the "One Festival, One Exhibition" came to a successful conclusion. During the period, the "Guo Zihao" Pavilion was very popular, the international exhibition showed its characteristics, the investment promotion activities started solidly, and the academic activities were rich and colorful. The "One Festival, One Exhibition" was not only widely praised by all sectors of society, but also has become an important photography cultural highland in Henan Province and even the whole country, which has contributed a strong force to promoting the innovation and development of the city's economic transformation and helping the Central Plains to be more brilliant.

"The flowers of photography are blooming together, becoming the most beautiful scenery in the exhibition area!" After watching the exhibition carefully, photography enthusiast Zhou Tieling sighed, "I didn't expect the photography exhibition to come to an end so fast. I haven't enjoyed it fully yet. Today, I brought my camera to take a look again, to appreciate the beauty of these photographs, leaving a rare and precious memory."

The swan acted as a matchmaker for the grand event, and the lens focused on the splendid chapter. This year's "One Festival, One Exhibition" set up exhibitions around many themes such as "fighting the epidemic" and poverty alleviation. It is divided into two venues, Sanmenxia International Cultural Expo City and China Photography Art Museum. There are 28 exhibition areas and a total exhibition area of 30,000. Square meters, and the total length of the exhibition line is nearly 5,000 meters. In addition, there are various brand exhibitions, special exhibitions, and feature exhibitions. A total of more than 4,000 works by more than 1,100 photographers will meet with you, providing a rich vision of feast for the audience.

The exhibition lasted for 10 days. According to statistics, during the festival, the number of visitors at the Sanmenxia International Cultural Expo City exhibition venue reached 128,000, and the number of visitors at the China Photography Art Museum exhibition venue reached 36,000. In addition, VR online, representing new media and new forms of promotion activities, was launched for the first time. VR audiences exceeded 200,000 during the festival.

During the festival, our city also held various forms of seminars and exchanges, lectures and training creation activities. From December 20th to 24th in 2020, eight academic online and offline lectures were held, and the online audience alone had more than 400,000 people. In terms of creative collection activities, photographers and representatives of various group member units of the China Photographic Association are invited to the photography creation research base, as well as the Shaanzhou Pit Yard, Guo State Museum, Yellow River Ecological Corridor, Sanmenxia Dam, Hangu Pass and other places for collection, exposing the guests from other places to the beauty of the natural landscape of Sanmenxia City, and  the kindness, simplicity and hospitality of the people in Sanmenxia.

 

Close Collaboration with Due Diligence, Guarantee the Complete Success of the Festival

Leaders' emphasis and support is the basis for the complete success of the festival. The China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Henan Provincial Party Committee, Henan Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, and China Film and Television Association attach great importance to the event. The main leaders have personally guided and coordinated work, held many meetings, did on-site office, supervised and inspected the activity, and helped solve difficult and key problems in the work, creating conditions for the smooth advancement of high standards of festival activities. The working groups and member units of the organizing committee attach great importance to work, perform their duties, cooperate and unite with each other, and organize effectively, bringing out the characteristics and taste of this exhibition, and jointly realizing the the goal of the most beautiful Sanmenxia, the best reception, the best state, and the best presentation.

The reception team expanded the "one-to-one" reception range this year. This year, 108 people were included in the "one-to-one" reception range. They were arranged according to the principle of work focus or similarity principle. The relevant staff of Sanmenxia Municipal Units took apart in the reception, which fully mobilizes the participation of all units in the Sanmenxia. Among them, the foreign photographers are accompanied by the staffs of Sanmenxia City Photography Association. Due to their work convenience, they have conducted in-depth exchanges on photography technology, equipment selection and post-production, which achieved good results.

With the assistance of Sanmenxia Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting and Tourism, 13 tour guides and narrators were selected from the city, and 8 narrators were selected from the Sanmenxia speech contest winners. The Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Federations was responsible for writing the explanations and gave closed training to all the selected personnel. After 3 days of intensive training, experts from Sanmenxia Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles organized simulation explanations. After three rounds of selection, 9 outstanding contestants were finally selected and assigned to various survey routes. After the survey activity started, they preached the beautiful scenery and historical culture of Sanmenxia to the distinguished guests, and answered the questions raised by the guests in real time. The explanatory work was praised by Chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles-Tie Ning, Vice Chairman-Li Qianguang, and many leaders, guests and photographers.

When the domestic and international epidemic situation is unstable, preventing and controlling the epidemic during the festival is the biggest problem. Sanmenxia Municipal Health Commission has formulated a work plan for epidemic prevention and control and medical and health protection during the exhibition, clarifying the responsibilities and tasks of various professional groups, disease control, supervision, and medical institutions, and arranging special personnel to work in the comprehensive group and conduct risk assessments of possible public health emergencies. Besides, they organize relevant personnel to conduct special training on epidemic prevention and control, and strengthen management of epidemic prevention and control in hotels, hotels, conference venues, exhibition halls, etc., to ensure that the exhibition is not affected by the epidemic. 

 Sanmenxia Municipal Civilization Office develops civilized transportation volunteer services, making the “volunteer red” the brightest color during the festival; the Municipal Transportation Bureau clearly requires taxi drivers to use civilized language and carry passengers in a civilized manner, and promote the art festival through on-board advertisements to ensure high-quality services. Uninterrupted supervision is also required; some buses have opened shuttle buses to facilitate the exhibition between the Exhibition Center and the China Photography Art Museum; the Municipal Urban Management Bureau has effectively promoted the beautification, lighting, greening and purification of the city, and made sure that the advertising of the social welfare during the art festival is solid and powerful. With the effective organization and cooperation of various working groups and relevant units at all levels, the activities of the "One Festival, One Exhibition" were completed in a tense and orderly manner.

 

All-Media Linkage Publicity to Create a Strong Festival Atmosphere

Checking the WeChat Moments, clicking on the Douyin video, and flipping through Microblogs... News related to "One Festival, One Exhibition" is overwhelming and continues to dominate the screen. From the beginning of November 2020, Sanmenxia has carried out in-depth and multi-dimension publicity in the central mainstream media. Before the festival, "People's Daily" published a full page of some of the award-winning representative works under the title "Golden Image, Praise Era"; Among the 10 press release with pictures written by Xinhua News Agency and a series of new media reports, "Watching Swans in the Yellow River in winter" has a single page view of more than 1.5 million and was reprinted by 40 websites including Xinhuanet, People's Daily Online, and Phoenix.com. CCTV News Channel focused on the ecology of the white swan and the Yellow River wetland in Sanmenxia city, and conducted three large-screen live broadcasts, which has gained a lot of popularity for the "One Festival, One Exhibition".

During the "One Festival, One Exhibition" period, the photos of the Xinhua News Agency's "The Winter Date between the Swan and the Yellow River" were published on the front page of the "Xinhua Daily Telegraph" and "Henan Daily". At the same time, Xinhua News Agency also promoted Sanmenxia and its grand event of "One Festival, One Exhibition" in 5 countries including the United States, Britain, Australia, Japan, and South Korea through its overseas platforms. CCTV News Channel, Finance Channel, and Arts Channel published a total of 7 reports, and CCTV News Client published 2 graphic reports, and had  live broadcast the exhibition for nearly 2 hours. The number of viewers reached 1.03 million and 407,000 people gave thumbs up.

According to statistics, during this year's "One Festival, One Exhibition" period, Sanmenxia published more than 4,320 related reports of the city in the central and provincial mainstream media and websites. Among them, the central and provincial mainstream media newspapers and periodicals reached 165 ; "People's Daily", "Henan Daily", "Dahe News" and other media published a total of 56 special pages; China Central Radio and Television Headquarters large screen and client reports amounted to a total of 10 , 4 live broadcasts, with 1.44 million viewers and 550,000 gave thumbs up. Sina Weibo "China Photography Art Festival", "Sanmenxia Swan Photography Exhibition" and other topics have been viewed 19.37 million times.

During the festival, our city also organized the "China Photographic Art Festival" short video competition. For the first time, it introduced social resources to provide prize sponsorship for the competition. At the same time, it produced a QR code for the Douyin short video competition, which attracted wide participation and improved awareness rate of the game. As of December 30th in 2020, the Douyin short video contest topic "China Photography Art Festival" has been played more than 300 million times, and it has continued to become a hot topic. One by one beautiful short videos effectively spread the grand occasion of "One Festival, One Exhibition" and Sanmenxia -the city brand of Swan City.
