On January 6th , the sixth meeting of Sanmenxia Municipal Leading Group for Accelerating 5G Network Construction and Industrial Development was held. The Deputy Secretary of Sanmenxia Municipal Party Committee and the Mayor An Wei attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Deputy Mayor Wan Zhanwei, member of Sanmenxia Municipal Government Party Group and Secretary-General Guo Zhongyi attended the meeting.

The meeting conveyed the spirit of the province's 5G application scenario construction observation and 5G work promotion meeting, and notified the 5G work implemented in Sanmenxia in 2020. All counties (cities, districts) and relevant departments reported on their work ideas and plans for 2021.

 An Wei, Mayor of Sanmenxia city, pointed out that since last year, the city's systematic planning, comprehensive mobilization, and vigorous advancement have achieved a good start for the city's 5G network construction and industrial development. However, there are also problems such as insufficient application scenarios and fewer demonstration and leading projects. Departments at all levels must continuely maintain their enthusiasm and strength to promote the development of the 5G industry to a new level, and provide new inexhaustible power for innovation and development of the Sanmenxia's "14th Five-Year" transformation.

An Wei also emphasized that the depth coverage of 5G base stations must be comprehensively improved. In accordance with the principle of “one station, one policy”, it is necessary to speed up the progress of base station “direct power supply” to ensure that all transformation tasks are completed before the Spring Festival. It’s important to continuely carry out special rectification of unreasonable electricity charges to reduce electricity costs. It’s required to focus on the task of building a new 5G base station in 2021, with the goal of independent networking, coordinate and promote the construction of 5G base stations and indoor sub-systems, in order to ensure continuous coverage of areas above the township by the end of the year and build a 5G excellent network with wide coverage, high speed and good experience. It is necessary to steadily promote the construction of 5G projects and innovation in scenarios. It’s important to give full play to the leading role of information technology in economic transformation and development, more efforts are needed to create a digital transformation and development ecology, promote the in-depth integration of 5G-related new technologies and new business forms with the real economy, in order to actively cultivate and introduce 5G industrial chain projects, and innovate and develop more personalized and diversified application scenarios of high-quality, providing strong support for the creation of digital government, digital economy, and digital city. More work are needed to be done to accelerate the promotion and application of industrial Internet platforms. More efforts are required to further increase publicity, guidance, demonstration and policy support, in order to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of enterprises on the internet, accelerate the digital, network, and intelligent transformation and upgrading of industrial enterprises,  and achieve cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency increase, so as to strive to cultivate and expand the platform economy, and help promote high-quality industrial development.

An Wei requires that projects, policies, and funding should be continuously guaranteed. Besides, supervision and assessment should be also strengthened to ensure high-quality completion of various tasks.
