On Oct. 27th, in the Hubin district held the unveiling ceremony of Home of Overseas Chinese and of Base of Sino-foreign Cultural Exchange. Mr. Zhang Songlin, member of the municipal standing committee and head of the United Front Work department, attended the ceremony.

In the warm applause and joyous atmosphere, Mr. Zhang Songlin and other Hubin district leaders unveiled the Home of Overseas Chinese of Baisheng Business Center; besides, some other leaders attending the ceremony also unveiled the other 3 Homes of Overseas Chinese in Kangleruijing community, Fuchao English training center and New Cooperation Supply Chain, and the one Base of Sino-foreign Cultural Exchange in Shangxian Child Teaching center.

In accordance with the concept of “Promoting the overseas Chinese service construction by the Party construction, and vice versa”, the Hubin district accelerates the construction of the Home of overseas Chinese and the Base of Sino-foreign Cultural Exchange and exerts their function to the maximum on the basis of the present condition. Over the past year, the Hubin District Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (HBFROC) actively fulfilled its function, improved its service, accelerated the construction of Home of Overseas Chinese where the returned overseas Chinese and their relatives and the overseas students and their relatives gathered by establishing the grass-roots FROC, carry out colorful social activities so as to strengthen the returned overseas Chinese’ sense of identity and make the Home and Base home to them. So far, in addition to the above-mentioned units, such units as Wanfu Famous Tea House, Jianye community, Zhenliu Tea Shop, Yijiangnan Tea House, Aici Stomatology Hospital are prepared for the declaration of the construction of Home of Overseas Chinese; such units as Guo State Museum, Sanmenxia Dam, Gantang Garden, Aidier China-Britain International Cultural Exchange Base and Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop are pushing forward in an orderly way the construction and declaration of Sino-foreign Cultural Exchange Base.
