On the occasion of the coming World Environment Day, a press conference on ecological environmental protection work in our city was held on June 3rd. The reporter learned that in 2019, the comprehensive ranking of the environmental quality of air and water in our city ranked the top three in the province, and they were rated as excellent in the assessment of ecological civilization construction of the middle of the thirteenth Five-Year Plan.

Since last year, the city thoroughly implemented the idea of ecological civilization of Xi Jinping, actively practiced the philosophy of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" and adhered to"establish the ecological city". Meanwhile, the city took the improvement of the environmental quality as the core, focused on the prevention of atmosphere, water and soil pollution, continued to promote the “big four structure” optimization adjustment, comprehensive control of water pollution and the risk prevention and control of soil pollution. During all that time, the city made new achievements, realized the new breakthrough, improved the citizens’ feelings of protecting ecological environment.

In terms of atmospheric environmental quality, the average annual concentration of PM2.5 in our city in 2019 was 55 μ g/m3, ranking third in the province; The average annual concentration of PM10 is 90 μ g/m3, ranking fourth in the province; 237 excellent days, ranking second in the province; compared with 2017 before the three-year tough battles, the concentrations of PM2.5 and PM10 decreased by 11.3% and 18.1% respectively, and the number of excellent days increased by 8.2%. The prevention and control of air pollution was assessed as "good" by the province. The comprehensive control of air pollution in autumn and winter has achieved remarkable results, exceeding the targets and tasks assigned by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. In terms of water environment quality, the annual average compliance rate of 7 national and provincial examination sections is 100%; the water quality compliance rate of centralized drinking water sources is stable at 100%; the water pollution prevention and control work was assessed as "excellent" by the province. In terms of prevention and control of soil pollution, 30,600 mu of safe utilization tasks were completed, the safe utilization rate of contaminated land reached 100%, and 8,679 mu of strict control tasks were completed. The whole city's soil environmental risk has been controlled, and the prevention and control of soil pollution has been assessed as "good" by the province.

It is reported that in 2019, the comprehensive ranking of atmospheric and water environmental quality in our city ranked the top three in the province, with ecological compensation award of more than 25 million yuan.
