A few days ago, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government announced the 2017-2019 list of civilized cities, civilized villages and towns, and civilized units in Henan Province. Sanmenxia was awarded the title of “Henan Province Civilized City”, which is a phased victory in the construction of a civilized city in our city.

According to the work deployment of the Henan Province Civilization Office’s Notice on Doing a Good Job in the Recommendation and Selection of Civilized Cities, Civilized Villages, Civilized Units, and Civilized Campuses in Henan Province in 2019, it has been determined that 26 Henan Province Civilized Cities, 23 Henan Province Civilized Cities Nomination Cities, 6 Henan Province Civilized Community Models, 5 Henan Province Civilized Scenic Tourist Areas Models, 5 Henan Province Civilized Scenic Tourist Areas after applying for recommendation, organizing evaluations, collecting opinions, and publicizing the list. It also confirmed the city list which will continue to retain the honor of Henan Province Civilized Cities and Henan Province Civilized Cities Nomination Cities.

Since 2017, the municipal party committee and the municipal government have decided to carry out the construction of a civilized city. The city firmly establishes the idea of “a game of chess”, advancing synchronously with a sense of mission, a sense of responsibility that cannot be lost, and a sense of urgency that must not be slowed down.

In the construction work, the city pays attention to adhering to problem orientation, grasps the main contradictions and key links, and mobilizes the whole city’s forces to participate in the construction work; pays attention to institutionalization and normalization, and builds a responsibility system of level-by-level implementation, forms a work mechanism of party and government leadership, coordination of departments, overall linkage, and joint management, and comprehensively promotes the construction work from all aspects of economic and social development; focus on persisting in “construction for the people, construction benefits the people, construction relies on the people”, increase investment, continuously improve the functions of the city, increase the happiness index of the people, and make the city have a new look.

It is reported that Lingbao City won the title of “Henan Province Civilized Cities Nomination City”, Yima City and Mianchi County retained the honorary title of “Henan Province Civilized City”, and Lushi County retained the title of “Henan Province Civilized Cities Nomination City”.
