The total compliance rate of drinking water in the city’s centralized drinking water source areas was 100%; The battle against soil pollution was steadily advanced

2020 is the year of decisive victory in the three-year action plan for fighting pollution prevention and control. The air quality targets set by our city are in the following. PM2.5 target value is 53.00 micro grams per cubic meter, PM10 target value is 90.00 micro grams per cubic meter and the number of good days is 261 days.

In the first half of the year, the city closely followed key objectives and tasks, and continued to push for offensive and firm governance. First, it fought to defend the blue sky from eight aspects which included adjusting and optimizing the industrial structure, optimizing the energy structure, optimizing the transportation structure and so on. As of June 30, among 182 days that have been monitored throughout the year, the number of good days was 122, an increase of 20 days over the same period last year, with the composite index 5.077. As of June 30, the cumulative annual average concentration of PM10 was 82.86 micro grams per cubic meter, ranking sixth in the whole province, down 25.75 micro grams per cubic meter over the same period last year. The cumulative annual average concentration of PM2.5 was 52.78 micro grams per cubic meter, ranking tied for fourth in the whole province, down 13.00 micro grams per cubic meter over the same period last year. Second, it fought to defend the clean water from five aspects which included implementing a number of key projects for the prevention and control of water pollution in the river basin, completing the rectifying task for environmental problems in drinking water sources, continuing to promote the investigation and remediation of sewage outlets into the river and so on. There are 7 surface water sections included in the national and provincial assessment tasks in our city, including 5 sections in the Yellow River Basin and 2 sections in the Yangtze River Basin. As of May, the cumulative compliance rate of 7 sections reached 91.4%. The compliance rate of five sections was 100% including Luohe Bridge in Luohe River, Zhaikou Long Bridge in Hongnongjian River, Potou Bridge in Hongnongjian River , Upper River in Qihe River and Sandao River in Laoguan River. As of May, the total compliance rate of drinking water in the city's centralized drinking water sources stabilized at 100%. Third, it fought to defend the fertile soil from four aspects which included completing the survey work of enterprise land in the city’s key industries, promoting soil pollution prevention and control of agricultural land, managing and controlling soil pollution risk of construction land, and strengthening the treatment of soil pollution source .
