On July 11th, the reporter learned from the related department that the improvement project of Huanghe Road will be completed on July 18th and will meet the conditions for opening to traffic on July 19th. By then, Huanghe Road will be presented to the citizens with a brand new look.

According to information, this improvement project started in mid-April. The range is from the roundabout in the Development Zone to the Sanmenxia railway station, with a length of 7.433 kilometers in total. The project mainly includes the bitumen application of the main road, the beautification of the sidewalks and non-motor lanes on both sides of the road, as well as the supporting drainage, water supply, lighting, power and communication piping.

On the same day, the reporter saw at the construction site from the Huanghe Road and Gantang Road Intersection to the Huanghe Road and Xiangchuan Road Intersection that the reconstructed road was raised as a whole and workers were applying bitumen. It is understood that at present, most sections of the main road have been completed and the reconstructed Huanghe Road is ready to come out. The long-awaited Huanghe Road will provide services for the citizens with a brand new look.

“The full opening of the upgraded Huanghe Road to traffic will play a significant role in alleviating the traffic pressure. At the same time, after the opening to traffic on July 19th, the follow-up work such as sidewalk upgrade and lighting of this section will continue. When all works are completed later, the surface of Huanghe Road will be more beautiful and moving.” said the person in charge of the relevant department.
